Celebrating 3 Years of Blogging + Looking Back on 2025

On this day three years ago, I made my first post here.

I still remember being that high school freshman with a bit of nervousness at sharing my writing on this blog for the first time. Three years later, I’m a senior with far more stories and the courage to tell them.

Thank you, my readers, for being there to help me find the courage to share the stories that God has placed on my heart.

So much has changed in the years since I started this blog, and so much has changed in 2025 alone.

2025 was the year that I found my confidence and had it tested. It was another year that God taught me to depend on Him, since when everything changes, He stays the same.

Through its share of joys and disappointments, 2025 was another year in which I saw God shaping me into who I’m meant to be. Over the summer I even made the choice to publicly commit my life to Him by getting baptized at the beach.

For a glimpse at what else happened in my life this year, I’ve made a little list…

Some highlights from ’25

  • Visited Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, Hawaii, and Texas + took road trips around California
  • Ran junior year track season (best one yet!) + senior year cross-country season
  • Took AP exams
  • Attended my first writing retreat + participated in my first open mic
  • Made fun memories at Awana summer camp in the mountains
  • Volunteered at my church’s VBS
  • Discipled small group of 4th/5th-grade girls through my church’s Awana program
  • Served as school newspaper editor-in-chief
  • Served as team captain during cross-country season
  • Watched Les Mis musical + Forrest Frank concert
  • Cheered on my little sisters during basketball games + dance recitals
  • Went to school events (mainly dances + basketball games)
  • Finished college apps
  • Spent time with one of my besties visiting from out-of-state
  • Celebrated Christmas with parties + family traditions

Now that 2025 has come to a close, I can’t wait to see what 2026 holds. If you would like to support me in my fourth year of blogging, sign up for my email list here. Happy New Year!
